WELCOME TO PATTY'S PLACE
Good food. Cold drinks. Questionable decisions.
Patty’s Place is the kind of neighborhood bar and grill where everybody knows your name, and probably a few things you wish they didn’t.
In the tiny Florida town of Gator Junction, Patty and her mismatched crew serve up burgers, drinks, unsolicited advice, and enough daily chaos to keep the health inspector permanently concerned.
It’s a workplace comedy about the people behind the counter, the regulars who refuse to leave, and the woman somehow keeping the whole disaster running.
Pull up a chair. You’re gonna be here awhile.
MEET THE CREW
Seven people. One restaurant. Absolutely no HR department.
PATTY
OWNER • WAITRESS • PERFORMER
Patty came to Gator Junction to care for her parents and ended up giving the town something it didn’t know it needed. Years later, her parents are gone, the highway traffic has moved on, and Patty is still fighting to keep the doors open.
Loud, stubborn, fiercely loyal, and surprisingly good at reading people, Patty has a habit of giving chances to the people everyone else overlooks. Somewhere along the way, her little bar and grill became more than a business. It became a family.
Everybody needs a place. Patty happens to own one.

THE PEOPLE BEHIND PATTY’S PLACE
Chef D came to Gator Junction intending to slow down after a long career in professional kitchens. Retirement didn’t take. Now he brings years of fine-dining experience to a place where the biggest culinary debate might be whether a burger really needs another topping. Calm, talented, and respected by the staff, Chef D takes the food seriously even when Patty doesn’t. He’s also become an unlikely mentor to Joey, who knows exactly how lucky he is to learn from him.
Fine dining trained him for everything except Patty.
TONY
Bartender
Big enough to look intimidating and warm enough to make strangers tell him their life stories, Tony is the calm center of Patty’s Place. He grew up in Gator Junction, has a wife and family there, and unlike half his coworkers, has absolutely no plans to escape. Tony genuinely likes his life. When the kitchen is crashing, Patty is yelling, and everyone else thinks the world is ending, Tony keeps pouring drinks and reminds them that they’re serving burgers, fries, and beer.
Everybody else is having an emergency. Tony is having a Tuesday.
TINA
Server / Occasional Bartender
Tina knows what it means to need a second chance. Years ago, her passion for animal rights led to a very bad decision, a felony conviction, and time in prison. When other employers saw a record, Patty saw a person and gave her a job. Tina never forgot it. Friendly, dependable, and still hopelessly devoted to animals, she has become one of Patty’s most loyal employees. Her past is part of her story, but Tina has no intention of letting it write the ending.
She’s served drinks. She’s served tables. She’s also served time.
JOEY
Assistant Cook
Joey has been working at Patty’s Place since he was barely out of high school, and he’ll happily remind everyone that it’s temporary. He has bigger plans, strong opinions about food, and dreams of becoming a real chef. Unfortunately for his escape plan, he genuinely loves the place. Under Chef D’s mentorship, Joey is becoming a talented cook in his own right. He may complain about Patty’s Place constantly, but if an outsider does it, suddenly Joey has a problem.
He’s leaving as soon as something better comes along. Any day now.
JENNY
Waitress
Jenny grew up in Gator Junction and has spent most of her life planning to leave it. Smart, ambitious, and observant, she dreams of something bigger, even if she hasn’t quite figured out what “bigger” looks like yet. In the meantime, she’s one of Patty’s best servers. She knows the regulars, handles difficult customers, reads Patty’s moods, and keeps the floor moving when everything goes sideways. Jenny wants out of Gator Junction. The problem is, Gator Junction isn’t finished with her yet.
She has big plans. Unfortunately, they all start somewhere outside Gator Junction.
SPENCER “SPENCE”
Busser / Dishwasher / Janitor
Spence recently turned eighteen, moved in with his grandmother rent-free, got a job, and proudly declared himself an independent adult. His parents still pay for his car, insurance, and phone, but those are apparently minor details. To his credit, Spence actually works hard. He takes every awful job Patty gives him because he genuinely wants to prove he can make it on his own. He’s inexperienced, enthusiastic, occasionally clueless, and slowly discovering that adulthood involves considerably more than turning eighteen.
“I’m an adult now.”
AND THEN THERE’S GLENN
Official position: None. Access to the building: Somehow.
GLENN (Raccoon)
Unofficial Resident / Ongoing Health Code Violation
Glenn does not work at Patty’s Place. Glenn has never worked at Patty’s Place. Glenn has also never allowed either of those facts to interfere with his daily presence.
Nobody is entirely sure when he first showed up or how he keeps getting inside. Patty insists she does not feed him. The staff knows this is a lie. Glenn has developed strong opinions about the kitchen, an alarming understanding of the building’s layout, and absolutely no respect for personal property.
Attempts to remove him have been unsuccessful.
